Monster under my bed

Children always ask parents to check for monsters under their bed before going to sleep, and parents often check to relieve their children. But this story went in the wrong direction...

I was going to check on my son, Kim, before going to bed. He was reading a book when I stepped inside the room. I walked up to him and he put the book on his nightside table. I sat down beside him and he said, "Dad, can you read me a story?" I said, "No, you have school tomorrow, buddy. Maybe tomorrow." He sighed and nodded. I got up and was about to head out when Kim said, "Dad, can you check under my bed for monsters?" I smiled and got down on my knees. In the dim orange lamp light, I saw another face under the bed. Kim's face. Trembling, he whimpered, "Hey, dad. There's someone on my bed."
